Low- and zero-carbon technology and policy options exist to decarbonize the electricity sector, but fewer obvious solutions are available for other sectors, which account for about 75% of total U.S. greenhouse gas emissions.
The one-day symposium will examine possible technology and policy options as well as challenges in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions in difficult-to-decarbonize sectors such as industry, transportation and agriculture.
Moreover, the symposium aims to break down traditional sectoral silos, presenting a unique forum for participants to interact with experts from multiple disciplines.
